Top Floor’s Commitment to a
Safer Space

While no space can ever be truly “safe,” Top Floor is built on a culture of care, trust, and integrity — designed to support personal freedom, mutual respect, and conscious connection.

Here’s what we do to support a consent-forward culture:

Member Onboarding

  • Rules & Recommendations: Applicants are required to read our detailed rules before joining. This living document includes real-world consent examples, guidance for casual touch, and tips for navigating play.

  • Hidden Word Challenge: Applicants must locate a hidden word in the rules before their vibe-check Zoom.

  • Vibe-Check Zoom: A personal 30-minute call ensures shared understanding and expectations.

Sexual Health

  • STI Testing Policy: All attendees submit verified results from within 3 months (HIV-1 & 2, syphilis, chlamydia, oral & genital gonorrhea).

  • STI Result Privacy: Results are submitted via a HIPAA-compliant portal or may be shared face-to-face over Zoom.

At the Event

  • Guardians: Visible, approachable volunteers trained to intervene, de-escalate, and support in real time.

  • Serenity Room: A designated no-play space for rest, regulation, and calm.

  • On-Site Medic: A professional, licensed medic is present at every event, based in the Serenity Room and connected by radio to Guardians.

  • Substances & Presence: Guests are expected to remain grounded and aware enough to uphold consent. Over-intoxication is not permitted. Some events include alcohol in moderation; others are intentionally substance-free.

Accountability & Oversight

  • Transparent Code of Conduct: Outlines how we define consent, handle reports, and implement accountability.

  • Independent Consent Director: All reports are reviewed by an experienced, trauma-informed professional—an Intimacy Coordinator, Board-Certified Sexologist, and educator with extensive expertise in sensual spaces. Based in LA and outside the NYC scene, they offer a neutral, independent perspective.

  • Third-Party Audit: An independent auditor reviews all incident reports quarterly to ensure consistency and integrity.

  • Separate Reporting for Leadership: Concerns involving leadership can bypass internal channels and go directly to the auditor.

  • Considering Behavior Beyond Our Walls: External concerns (e.g. doxxing, threats, or repeated harm) may affect a member’s standing.

  • How to Report: Concerns can be raised in real time to Guardians, or afterward via our confidential reporting form.

Privacy & Discretion

Protecting your privacy is core to Top Floor.

  • No guest list at the door: instead, members use unique passwords or digital membership cards to gain entry.

  • No photography is allowed.

  • Membership data is never shared.

  • Discretion around who you see at events is expected of all members.

Emotional Support

  • Free Aftercare Calls: Decompression calls available with our aftercare specialist — a professional therapist, trauma-informed, kink-aware, and versed in sex-positive community dynamics.

Top Floor exists because we believe that when people feel held, they can truly let go. Every policy, every conversation, and every detail is designed to create the kind of safety that allows you to relax, connect, and play freely.
